The Spanish government, through Royal Decree 316/2026 of April 14, has implemented an extraordinary regularization process for foreign nationals residing in Spain who lack a residence or stay permit. The deadline for submitting applications is June 30, 2026.

To access this extraordinary regularization, applicants must prove they entered Spain before January 1, 2026, and have resided continuously for at least five months at the time of application, in addition to having no criminal record. This law also applies to applicants for international protection who submitted their application before that date, even if they have already received a rejection.

The authorization has an initial validity of one year and enables you to work for others and on your own account throughout the territory and in any sector.
